During this period of Covid-19 disruption, the following temporary discretion has been agreed, for this standard, until further notice:

An alternative assessment method to the practical observation is permitted where an apprentice cannot undertake the observation due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The observation assessment method is substituted with a minimum of three competency-based scenarios/questions, covering the KSBs evidenced via the observation, lasting 60 minutes +/-10%. The ‘professional review’ assessment method, remains distinct and unchanged, although it can be conducted remotely.
