Health and Social Care
The Health and Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship sits within the Health and Science sector. It provides a mix of employability skills and behaviours, technical knowledge and skills, and associated English and maths. It combines valuable hands-on practice in the workplace with off-the-job learning in a variety of health and care settings. It is designed to prepare apprentices for roles where they contribute to the health, wellbeing, and independence of those they care for, while meeting professional standards and regulatory requirements. Successful completion of the programme supports progression into further study or employment across the wider health and social care sector.
Version 1.0 was approved for delivery from 1 August 2025.
