Highfield Assessment currently provides end-point assessment services for the ST0227/IfATE v1.2/AP05 version of this standard.
- Apprentices who started their apprenticeship between 28/09/2021 and 25/06/2023 will be assessed against ST0227/IfATE v1.1/AP05.
- Apprentices who started their apprenticeship on or after 26/06/2023 will be assessed against ST0227/IfATE v1.2/AP05.
A temporary dispensation has been applied to the assessment plan for this apprenticeship. The dispensation will last until all apprentices on both versions of the assessment plan have completed. It covers all previous versions of the EPA plan.
End-point assessment organisations (EPAOs) delivering EPAs for the apprenticeship will implement the dispensation as required, supported and monitored by the relevant EQA provider.

Assessment Method 2 – Professional discussion
The independent assessor will pick a minimum of 4 preparation, cooking and finishing techniques to discuss during the professional discussion.
Apprentices should not be told which techniques they will be assessed on before the professional discussion.
