Adult Care Worker
- Apprentices who started their apprenticeship between 05/02/2018 and 25/06/2023 will be assessed against ST0005/v1.1/AP01.
- Apprentices who started their apprenticeship between 26/06/2023 and 07/08/2025 will be assessed against ST0005/v1.2/AP02
- Apprentices who started their apprenticeship on or after 08/08/2025 will be assessed against ST0005/v1.3/AP02
- Apprentices who started their apprenticeship on or after 26/05/2026 will be assessed against ST0005/v2.0
Please note: IfATE has introduced the Flexibility Framework which removes the need to complete assessments in a certain order if stated in the assessment plan.

A new assessment plan for the Level 2 Adult Care Worker standard has been approved, allowing providers to deliver from 26 May 2026. This new assessment requires all learners to complete the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate.
This qualification is a mandatory prerequisite for learners under the new assessment plan and has been designed to bridge the gap between the original Care Certificate and the updated requirements. With expert EQS support, dedicated account management and quick qualification approval, you can start delivery with confidence.
We recommend that learners use the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate Highfield-kit to achieve the qualification. This includes a textbook and workbook covering the mandatory units and helping learners generate the required portfolio of evidence.
