What you need to know about the Highfield Level 3 End-Point Assessment for Senior Healthcare Support Worker
Who is this Standard for?
This apprenticeship is for individuals working within a healthcare environment. Senior Healthcare Support Workers help registered practitioners deliver healthcare services to people. As an experienced support worker, the apprentice will carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. They will provide high quality, compassionate healthcare, following standards, policies or protocols and always acting within the limits of your competence. They may work in a range of services, for example hospital, community, health or birth centre, someone’s home, nursing or care home, hospice or GP surgery; working in partnership with families, carers and other service providers.
Highfield provides end point assessment services for the following options from the standard:
Programme structure
This is a level 3 apprenticeship standard that has a typical duration of 24 months. Apprentices will be placed in healthcare role and supported by a tutor to achieve the Healthcare Support Worker standards, as well as Level 2 maths and English qualifications.
Assessment Plan
