Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction Apprenticeship Standards

The engineering and manufacturing sector is one of the biggest in the UK, employing millions of people and contributing billions to the UK economy. However, like many important sectors, it is struggling with skills issues, meaning engineering apprenticeships and manufacturing apprenticeships can offer another way for businesses to train and develop staff.

Key sectors covered by engineering and manufacturing apprenticeships include aerospace, automotive, metals, electrical equipment, electronics, marine, mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, product design and civil engineering.

The output of the UK construction sector is over £110 billion per annum. It currently accounts for approximately 10% of UK employment and accounts for around 7% of GDP.

If you are offering engineering, manufacturing and construction courses for apprentices, then Highfield currently provides a full range of end-point assessment services that could be perfect for you.
