What you need to know about the Highfield Level 2 End-Point Assessment for Early Years Practitioner
Who is this standard for?
The early years practitioner (EYP) interacts directly with children on a day-to-day basis. They support the planning of and delivery of activities, purposeful play opportunities and educational programmes within an early years setting for children from birth to 5 years in both indoor and outdoor environments. These can include, full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes, playgroups, nursery schools, home-based provision, hospitals, social care settings, out of school environments and local authority provision.
This is a level 2 apprenticeship that has a typical duration of 12 months. Apprentices will be placed in a suitable role and supported by a tutor to achieve Level 1 maths and English and the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification.
Apprentices will be assessed against ST0888/AP01.

Highfield will be ready and able to deliver end-point assessment for the learning mentor standard in early 2023. Readiness is defined as having necessary administrative and systems infrastructure and associated internal quality assurance policies and procedures to support Highfield’s end-to-end end-point assessment service.
