What you need to know about the Highfield Level 3 End-Point Assessment for Senior Production Chef
Who is this standard for?
This standard is being developed for those who wish to join the hospitality and catering sector or for those currently in the industry and are wanting to advance their career from a production chef to a senior production chef.
Production chefs lead teams and often support the head chef within larger establishments. They work in time-bound and often challenging kitchen environments in education, health and social care, the military and commercial/food retail.
Senior production chefs have accountability for the day-to-day running of the kitchen service, producing, monitoring and maintaining consistent food standards, legislative requirements and quality across all areas and during all stages of production and supply.
On this apprenticeship, learners will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours in areas such as:
Programme structure
This is a level 3 apprenticeship standard that has a minimum duration of 12 months.
Assessment Plan
Apprentices who started their apprenticeship between 01/07/2019 and 25/06/2023 will be assessed against ST0232/IfATE v1.3.
Apprentices who started their apprenticeship on or after 26/06/2023 will be assessed against ST0232/IfATE v1.4.
